Sad Sad Emma..

In the days leading to her death, 4-year-old Emma Thompson suffered 80 contusions, a fractured skull, a brain hemorrhage and a vaginal tear.
About 12 to 24 hours before she died, the Spring girl was hit in the abdomen by an “unknown object,” causing blunt force trauma that killed her, according to court records filed by investigators and made available on Tuesday, the same day Emma's mother, Abigail Elizabeth Young, 33, and her boyfriend, Lucas Ruric Coe, 27, made their initial appearance at a bail hearing.
Young and Coe are charged with one count each of injury to a child after their explanation of Emma's fatal injuries didn't square with the beating and sexual abuse she apparently endured over the course of several days.
Coe was ordered held without bail. Young was released Tuesday after posting $50,000 bail.
In an arrest warrant affidavit filed by Harris County homicide investigator A.J. Kelly, Coe and Young gave conflicting statements about what had happened leading up to Emma's death.
Her bruises, including one on her face, were first noticed in early June by her father, Benjamin Thompson, who separated from Young in April. At a court hearing last month, he said Emma's sisters and his estranged wife told him that Emma caused the bruise by walking into a patio table.
According to Kelly's affidavit, Thompson said he told Young to take Emma to a doctor “or he would.”
The girl's pediatrician examined her June 8. The doctor found Emma had “oral and vaginal herpes, along with bruising inconsistent with explanations offered by Abigail Young” and contacted Child Protective Services. Tests came back positive for herpes on June 11.
No sign of abuse June 12
A CPS investigator contacted Young, who was then a registered nurse at Woman's Hospital of Texas, and asked if she were the only adult living in the house with Emma and her sisters. Young said she was, CPS officials have said. She also told CPS that her daughter might have come into contact with someone with herpes at a local YMCA.
According to Kelly's affidavit, however, “Lucas Coe began an intimate relationship with Ms. Young and became a frequent overnight guest at Ms. Young's residence beginning June 2009.”
After CPS talked to Young, Emma was taken on June 12 to Texas Children's Hospital for a sexual abuse exam. There was no sign of sexual abuse, and CPS allowed Emma to remain home. CPS officials have said that herpes does not automatically prompt a removal because in rare cases genital herpes can be contracted in a nonsexual manner.
But sometime between that June 12 exam and her death on June 27, Emma suffered more bruises, a total of 80, according to the Montgomery County medical examiner, along with the skull fracture and sexual abuse as evidenced by a “tear and hemorrhaging to the vagina extending from the area of the hymen, which was not intact.”
The officer's affidavit said that at 8:56 p.m. June 27, Young called 911 to report her daughter was not breathing. It is believed that she made the call from her car a few blocks from her home, because the ambulance met Young at her car at 9 p.m.
Emma was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. at Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands Hospital.
Young stood before a magistrate Tuesday with her arms folded, looking in Coe's direction and shaking her head.
Coe, in an orange jail jumpsuit, sat behind a post out of camera view until his name was called. He stood solemnly before the judge, head down.
CPS removes children
Calls for comment, made to relatives of Young and Coe, were not immediately returned. It's not clear whether Young is still working for Trinity Medical Center.
“She's worked one shift,” said John Simms, president and chief executive of the hospital's corporation, Trinity Health Services.
Emma's sisters, along with two other Montgomery County children Coe has had contact with, have been taken into custody by CPS. Emma's two sisters, ages 6 and 11, have been placed with her paternal grandparents.
The two other children, a 4-year-old girl and an older boy, are in foster homes.
“The investigation is still going on in both cases,” said Gwen Carter, CPS spokeswoman in Houston. “We're still doing our investigation and working with law enforcement.”

'Psychopath' Sentenced to 120 Years in Horrific Child Porn Case

PHILADELPHIA — A seldom-employed psychopath was sentenced Wednesday to spend the rest of his life in prison for making a huge cache of child pornography that shows him sexually assaulting a dozen children, including infants at a girlfriend's in-home day care.
The FBI found John Jackey Worman with more than 1 million images and 11,000 videos of child pornography when they arrested him in suburban Philadelphia in 2007. Worman made girls in his care perform sex acts for school lunch money.
"I cannot know ... what was going through your head while you were molesting my daughter. Was it a big joke as I pulled away each day?" the mother of one of the abused infants asked Worman during testimony Wednesday. He stared blankly ahead.
Worman has told prison doctors he feels no remorse for sexually "anointing" his female victims.
"I am totally at peace with everything I have done," he said, according to U.S. District Judge Lawrence F. Stengel, who sentenced him to 120 years in prison.
A teenager who had been abused for several years ultimately tipped off authorities, after watching an episode of "Law & Order" about child sexual abuse. She only then realized it had been wrong, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Rotella said.

That led to last year's trial, when jurors, who sometimes asked for breaks from viewing the evidence, convicted Worman of 56 child-pornography counts.
The sentencing judge described Worman, 42, of Colwyn, as a psychopath who sponged off women and sadistically coerced his young victims.
Remarkably, the judge found, Worman has no mental-health diagnosis or childhood trauma that would help explain his crimes. Psychiatric tests conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons revealed only that he is a pedophile with an anti-social personality disorder.
Worman described his childhood as a good one in which he was free to do as he liked. He told the medical staff he started using alcohol and marijuana at age 11, and dropped out of 10th grade.
He lived in his mother's basement in Colwyn through his 40s, sometimes with a girlfriend's three children — the woman herself never moved in. He also rigged hidden cameras at the home of another girlfriend, baby sitter Concetta Jackson.
Jackson, 46, of Collingdale is in prison awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to one child-pornography count. Prosecutors say she procured some of the victims for Worman.
Ex-girlfriend Dorothy Prawdzik of Drexel Hill, who went to trial, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for undressing and posing young girls for Worman. Prawdzik, 45, also held the camera while he tried to rape an infant and participated with Worman in a three-way sexual encounter with a 10-year-old girl.
The mother who tried to get answers from Worman in court describes herself now as a tortured, overprotective parent. Her daughter does not remember the abuse — but the woman can't forget it.
The Associated Press is not identifying her to protect her daughter's identity, and is not identifying other sexual-abuse victims in the case.
Worman declined to make a statement Wednesday. His court-appointed lawyer argued against a life term, comparing it to "putting down" an animal.
"A sentence that basically says we're putting you down does not recognize whatever degree of humanity exists in Mr. Worman," lawyer Mark Cedrone said.

"God Heard Our Prayer"

DALLAS — The hotel bathroom was a de facto prison cell — a cramped, foul space where three young children were starved, beaten and sexually assaulted for at least nine months.
The toilet didn't work. The bathtub was a place to sleep. Meals were rare, and the two oldest children — once each a healthy 90 pounds — withered to less than 60 pounds.
Each day for reasons unknown, their mother's boyfriend would force the 10-year-old boy to stand in the corner with his arms raised above his head; his 5-year-old half brother had to kneel in another corner, arms also raised.
The disturbing details emerged in court records that tell the horrific story of the torture borne by the two boys and their 11-year-old half sister, all of whom have different fathers. The children were found July 2 after their mother called a relative to say she feared for her own life and those of her children.
The 10-year-old, his face and limbs covered in bruises, told a social worker that the experience was "my living nightmare." The 11-year-old said she repeatedly was sexually assaulted. The 5-year-old was so thin that bones were visible in his limbs.

The children were rescued by their uncle and police, their ribs protruding and their bellies distended. After throwing up food given to them by stunned officials, the children expressed gratitude at being found.
"God was watching over us and listening to our prayers," the 11-year-old said.
The 10-year-old agreed. "My prayers have been answered," he said. "I'm safe, that's all I need."
The mother's boyfriend, Alfred Santiago, 37, faces charges of aggravated sexual assault and continuous sexual abuse. He remained jailed Wednesday, unable to make his $125,000 bail. No court appearance has been set.
The mother, Abneris Santiago, 30, is charged with injury to a child. She remained jailed on $50,000 bail and is expected to appear in court next week, when a judge will decide whether the case will go to a grand jury.

God I pray for all the children suffering at the hands of these demon possessed people, I pray they all are taken from the pain~and that The Lord brings justice swiftly. Pray for the children in these last days, they are facing the full wrath of and evil adversary~the Devil himself.

The father of Scotty Wesley Buchholz Sanchez, Scott Buchholz, said the child's mother, Otty Sanchez, took away his dream of being a father.
Despite the possibility that Sanchez may have been suffering from mental illness, Buchholz said Sanchez deserves no mercy.
“I was very happy to be a dad," he said. "We tried for five years to have a baby, and she was upset at the fact that it never happened and she thought she could not conceive a baby.”
Buchholz said his girlfriend appeared to be a loving mother in the days after she gave birth, but police said its that same woman now accused of killing and mutilating her son early Sunday morning. Authorities said she admitted to them that she killed the child, telling police the devil made her do it.

The Devil has come to Earth

SAN ANTONIO -- A woman charged with murdering her 3½-week-old son used a knife and two swords to dismember the child and ate parts of his body, including his brain, before stabbing herself in the torso and slicing her own throat, police said Monday.
Otty Sanchez, 33, is charged with capital murder in the death of her infant son, Scott Wesley Buchholtz-Sanchez. She was recovering from her wounds at a hospital, and was being held on $1 million bail.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the early Sunday morning attack occurred a week after the child's father moved out. Otty Sanchez's sister and her sister's two children, ages 5 and 7, were in the house, but none were harmed.
Otty Sanchez's aunt, Gloria Sanchez, said her niece had been "in and out" of a psychiatric ward, and that the hospital called several months ago looking to check up on her. She did not elaborate on the nature of her niece's health problems.
"Otty didn't mean to do that. She was not in her right mind," a sobbing Gloria Sanchez told The Associated Press on Monday by phone. She said her family was devastated.
McManus, who appeared uncomfortable as he addressed reporters, said Sanchez apparently ate the child's brain and some other body parts. She also decapitated the infant, tore off his face and chewed off three of his toes before stabbing herself.
"It's too heinous for me to describe it any further," McManus said. 7/2009
